Windows down Music up that's the way I like to Uber!

I have used Uber well over 50 times and never had the same driver twice! I have had semi-retired guys to moms to a kid who had only been driving for 3 months! At first, I thought Ubering everywhere was going to be a pain, now I look forward to each ride because you don't know who you are going to meet or what you will hear! Why? Let me tell you.

I had just gotten off a plane from Mexico City after being in Texas for a few days, I wasn't feeling and tired from traveling all day. I snagged a ride with Uber to get home and to my surprise, it was a middle-aged mom who picked me up. She was super nice, helped me with my bags and off we went. As soon as we left the parking lot she had ACDC blasting over the stereo! I was dying laughing and asked her if she liked classic rock or if it was because I am American. (I have had Uber drivers play American music for me in the past) She knew some English and I some decent (at best) Spanish but we managed a conversation about all the great classic rock bands! She LOVED classic rock, from Led Zeppelin to Rolling Stones and she had seen several of them in concert in Guadalajara. So for the next 45 minutes, we sang all the favorites of hers and mine while casually getting to know each other. It was one of my favorite rides and quite a surprise as I wasn't feeling well! I think it was just a reminder that you can take any situation whether we know the language or culture, whether we are feeling great or not and connect with someone in a positive way!
